Ways to Serve
OPERATION HOPE OF FAIRFIELD
On the second Saturday morning of each month, church members prepare meals for Operation Hope's community kitchen. We typically cook for 30-40 people using our ample commercial-style kitchen. The meals are then delivered to the community kitchen. Our church also provides financial support for their food pantry, affordable housing, and shelter programs.
BISHOP JEAN WILLIAMS FOOD PANTRY
Volunteers serve monthly on the second Wednesday from 11 am. to 4 pm. at the Bishop Jean Williams Pantry in Bridgeport distributing groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables and other necessary items to those in need.
BRIDGEPORT RESCUE MISSION
BRM demonstrates the love of God to the hungry, homeless, and addicted throughout Coastal Fairfield County, providing services and a place of hope and dignity for men, women, and children. We also collect clothing and non-perishable foods for BRM, and we support their fundraising efforts.
BEYOND LIMITS INTERNATIONAL
BLI runs an after-school program every Tuesday from 3 to 6 pm for children ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old. The program is run at CityWide church in Bridgeport. Our church sends volunteers to help tutor, play, and feed a meal to 20-30 children.
PREPARE A MEAL
When a major life event happens (e.g. birth of a new baby, an illness, or a death in the family), receiving a meal can reduce the burden for friends and neighbors. Can you prepare a meal for family, friends or neighbors to show you care?
OFFER A CAR RIDE
Would you like to offer a fellow church member a ride to church, a doctor’s appointment, grocery store, school, or local auto repair shop? “FPC Roadrunners” can provide a short ride to ease the burden on friends & neighbors who may not have a car or are unable to drive.
