Irina Georgieva
Music Director

Dr. Irina Georgieva is an Associate Professor of Conducting at Berklee College of Music, Boston,
where she teaches several levels of conducting classes and lessons in the Department of
Composition within the Professional Writing Division.
Irina has led a number of choirs and orchestras in the Northeast including the Sage Chapel Choir at
Cornell University, the University of Rochester Chamber Singers, Men's Glee Club and Women's
Choir, Hobart and William Smith Colleges Community Chorus, Rochester Institute of Technology
Choir, The Greece Community Orchestra, and Voices Boston. She also served as a Music Director
and Organist at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain, MA, and as the Director of Choral
Programs at Sacred Heart University.
She holds Conducting degrees from the State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, Northwestern
University, and the Eastman School of Music.
Irina lives in Trumbull with her husband and son and feels blessed to be serving as a Music Director
at a church with such vibrant music history as First Presbyterian of Fairfield.
