Pentecost Sunday commemorates the receiving of the Holy Spirit by the early church and celebrates God’s very life, breath and energy living still in believers. Pentecost is an ideal time to bring a friend to First Presby for worship and share the love of the Holy Spirit. Research affirms that 86% of new members to Protestant churches are because a member of the congregation invited them. Please invite a friend or an entire family to worship with you. And remember to wear RED which reminds us of the fire of the Holy Spirit!

Posted on March 29, 2019 in: Worship

The Maundy Thursday service is a Tenebrae service in the Sanctuary at 7:30 pm. The word tenebrae is Latin for “shadows.” You will experience the darkness of Jesus’ days before his resurrection; the betrayal, abandonment, and agony that he endured for us. The service, which includes Communion, is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day. A simple soup and bread meal prior to this service will be hosted by our Youth Group. Plan to enjoy the fellowship and homemade soup at 6:00 p.m.
