Mission Outreach

On Good Friday at 8:30 am, share a French toast breakfast and reflect upon the crucifixion with members of our congregation, our friends from the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and the Re-Entry Ministry. Beautiful, contemplative music will be offered by Kristin Butler, Kayla Cook, Julia Fedoryk, and Abby Baisley. Volunteer opportunities to help prepare and serve the meal are available.  Sign up during coffee hour to help or to attend. All are welcome!

A Reception for Josh Heikkila, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. Join us for a night of fellowship and updates from our missionary to West Africa, Rev. Josh Heikkila. Coffee and dessert will be served.   Appointed as a PCUSA mission co-worker in October 2009, Josh serves 5 West African countries and lives in Ghana. He supports the programs, relationships, and activities of PCUSA partners, as well as mission personnel. The Great Thanksgiving Project

The Missions Committee is collecting 500 cans of green beans by October 15 for Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s annual Thanksgiving outreach joining in a community-wide effort to fight hunger. When you do grocery shopping, pick up several cans of green beans and place them in bins as you enter the Sanctuary or near the church office. We also will be collecting hats and coats for this event. Bridgeport Rescue Mission will be providing this month's Minute for Mission on October 15, when we will give them our donations. Here's a tangible way to show we care for our neighbors in need.

2017 Ghana Mission Trip

This summer a group of youth and adults will be traveling to Ghana to broaden and deepen the global mission work in Ghana. Highlighting this mission work is the forming of a partnership of churches, foundations and individuals all committed to building a badly needed Maternity Ward in the village of Dzemeni.  To learn more about this trip please click here.
