Maundy Thursday, April 18

Posted on March 29, 2019 in: Worship

The Maundy Thursday service is a Tenebrae service in the Sanctuary at 7:30 pm. The word tenebrae is Latin for “shadows.” You will experience the darkness of Jesus’ days before his resurrection; the betrayal, abandonment, and agony that he endured for us. The service, which includes Communion, is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day. A simple soup and bread meal prior to this service will be hosted by our Youth Group. Plan to enjoy the fellowship and homemade soup at 6:00 p.m.
