Pastoral Staff

Reverend Edward F. Duffy, PhD.

Ed Duffy is first and foremost a preacher and teacher. He is passionately committed to the gospel -- to honoring it, explaining it, teaching it -- in ways people can understand and cherish. A native of Texas, he grew up in New York and New Jersey. A Princeton graduate, he earned an MA in music history from Columbia, and then returned to Princeton for his Master of Divinity. Later on he completed his PhD from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He teaches New Testament Greek at Hartford Seminary. He is married to Lynne Duffy, and has two adult children, Brooke and Philip.

Erik Lindemann, Discipleship Director: Student and Small Group Ministries

Erik joined FPC in 2015 and has worked in student ministry since 2006. Before coming to FPC he served at Community Congregational Church in Billerica, MA, Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA, and Wheaton Bible Church in Wheaton, IL. He is passionate about discipleship, evangelism, and equipping students for gospel advancement. Erik is a certified trainer for Dare 2 Share and Sonlife's 4 Chair Discipling.

Erik earned a degree in Biblical Archaeology with an emphasis in ancient languages from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois in 2010. He and his wife Farrell have two children, Leif and Linnea, and currently live in Trumbull, CT.

Laurie Birch, Music Director

Laurie did her undergraduate work in music at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She later received a Master, Music Education from the University of Bridgeport. She has studied with Dr. Louise Miller, Olga Antonuk, Rosa Rio, and later with Everett Hilty, Don Vollstedt and Cherry Rhodes.

She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the American Guild of Organists, and the National Association of Music Educators.
