Christian fellowship is an ancient practice dating back to the book of Acts. Acts 2:42 says, "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." The Greek word used here (koinōnia) refers to association, community, communion, or joint participation. Christian fellowship, however, goes beyond simple friendly association with other Christians. It extends into living a life of faith alongside others, and within the bonds of those relationships experiencing Christ.
The Fellowship Committee's mission is to encourage members and visitors to participate joyfully and actively in our community of faith to provide ways in which they may experience the love and affirmation known to the early Church. The Committee coordinates volunteers to host coffee hour each Sunday after the Worship service and plans special Fellowship programs throughout the year.
