Traditionally the second Sunday in Advent, the Christian Education and Discipleship committee (CE&D) sponsors a program following the Sunday worship with crafts, games and Christmas treats for children and families.
Each summer in August, Vacation Bible School is conducted for 70 children ages 4 through 12 years of age.

At Christmas time, there is an annual Christmas pageant involving all children who wish to participate. There is a role and costume for all! The pageant is performed during the Sunday worship service prior to Christmas.
Families are invited to celebrate Mardi Gras with a pancake dinner, games and the crowning of a king and queen. This event is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday.
Children and families join on the Saturday prior to Easter to hear the Easter story, make crafts and participate in an Easter Egg Hunt.
The congregation joins with the Youth Group in making homemade apple pies as a fundraiser for the Youth Summer Mission trip.
Events for Families with young children are scheduled throughout the year. These events offer many opportunities to bring our church family together for social, educational and fellowship events. Watch the weekly bulletin or the Steeplelight for upcoming dates.
